Championship, Lake Waco, 4 May 2025

Lake Waco was the site of the 2024-2025 CTHSTT Championship. 49 teams hit the water looking for 5 of the right bites. The lake was 2.24 feet low with a water temperature of 74 degrees. A warm, calm morning greeted the anglers. Adding in the recent heavy rains, which turned the water dirty, truly provided a new challenge for these young anglers.

1st Place.
Fisher Lenart and Jaxon Matula of the Abbott Anglers Fishing Team, with a total weight of 17.14 lbs. The anglers were awarded 1st Place Championship Trophies, a share of $3000.00 in Scholarship Money and Abu Garcia Veritas Rods.

2nd Place.
Christopher Ehlers and Bruce Ehlers Jr of the Riesel Indian Fishing Team, with a total weight of 16.85 lbs. The anglers were awarded 2nd Place Championship Trophies, a share of $2000.00 in Scholarship Money, and Abu Garcia Veritas Rods.

3rd Place.
Parker Kadlacek and Easton Kadlacek of the Tours Bass Club, with a total weight of 15.55 lbs. The anglers were awarded 3rd Place Championship Trophies, a share of $1500.00 in Scholarship Money, and Abu Garcia Max STX Reels.

4th Place.
Kenji Urabe and Drew Hedges of the Bosqueville HS Fishing Team, with a total weight of 15.14 lbs. The anglers were awarded 4th Place Championship Trophies, a share of $1000.00 in Scholarship Money and Abu Garcia Max STX Reels.

5th Place.
Kase Thomas and Mason Henry of the China Springs Bass Club, with a total weight of 14.82 lbs. The anglers were awarded Abu Garcia Jordan Lee Rod and Reel Combos.

6th Place.
Thomas Hobson and Luke Hobson of the Midlothian HS Fishing Team, with a total weight of 14.18 lbs. The anglers were awarded Abu Garcia Max STX Reels.

Big Bass Award.
Kasey Boatright of the Liberty Hill Fishing Team with a nice 6.56 lbs. Largemouth.
He was awarded an Abu Garcia Veritas Rod.

The Junior Championship Team Award.
Rylan Teegardin and Tanner Brett of the Granger Lion Fishing Team with a total weight of 8.23 lbs. The anglers were awarded Championship Medals, a share of $600.00 in Scholarship Money and Abu Garcia Veritas Rods.

Team of the Year Award.
Fisher Tindell and Brant McIlhaney of the Crawford HS Fishing Team with 971 total points. The anglers were awarded Team of the Year Medals, and a share of $500.00 in Scholarship Money.

2024-2025 Season School / Club Awards
Small School Category went to Crawford HS Fishing. They received a Plaque and a check for $100.00.
Medium School Category went to Riesel Indian Fishing Team. They received a Plaque and a check for $250.00
Large School Category went to China Springs Bass Club. They received a Plaque and a check for $450.00

Boat Captain Gift Cards
3 – Random Boat Captains were drawn for $50.00 gift cards, each, as a way of saying thank you for all they do for these young Anglers.
