Lake Whitney was the site of our 2nd Qualifying event of the 2025-2026 season. 93 teams hit the water looking for 5 good bites. The lake was 0.56 feet low with a water temperature of 80 degrees. The cooler morning temperatures, delayed launch time and clear blue skies by the afternoon provided a new challenge for these young anglers. When scales closed,

Went to Carson Mowdy and Colton Stewart of the Double C Bass Runners, with a total weight of 15.55 lbs. For their effort the anglers were awarded a 1st Place Trophies, A share of $500.00 in Scholarship Money and an Abu Garcia Max Z Reel.

2nd Place
Went to Reed Schneider and Marshall Buzan of the Whitney HS Bass Team, with a total weight of 12.15 lbs. For their effort the anglers were awarded a 2nd Place Trophies, a share of $400.00 in Scholarship Money, and an Abu Garcia Max Z Reel.

3rd Place
Went to Rudy Rodriquez and Lilly Williams of the Bruceville-Eddy Eagles, with a total weight of 11.79 lbs. For their effort the angles were awarded a 3rd Place Trophies, a share of $300.00 in Scholarship Money, and an Abu Garcia Max Z Reel.

4th Place
Went to Luke Leiskau fishing with an Observer of the Salado Youth Bass Fishing, with a total weight of 11.25 lbs. For his effort the angler was awarded a 4th Place Trophy a share of, $200.00 in Scholarship Money and a Berkley Lighting Rod.

5th Place
Went to Barrett Gray and Eric Walker of the Liberty Hill Fishing Team, with a total weight of 11.06 lbs. For their efforts each angler was awarded an Abu Garcia Rod and Reel Combo.

6th Place
Went to Avery Sutton and Austin Ackermen of the Salado Youth Bass Fishing, with a total weight of 10.62 lbs. For their efforts each angler was awarded an Abu Garcia Max Z Reels.

7th Place
Went to Brayden Martinez and Rustin Wilson of the Granger Lion Fishing Team, with a total weight of 10.22 lbs. For their efforts each angler was awarded Berkley Lighting Rods.

8th Place
Went to Hunter Spanos and Damon Booth of the McGregor ISD Fishing, with a total weight of 10.20 lbs. For their efforts each angler was awarded Fishing Tackle Pack.

9th Place
Went to Preston Omo and Liam McCauley of the Live Oak Classical Fishing, with a total weight of 9.69 lbs. For their efforts each angler was awarded Fishing Tackle Pack.

Big Bass Award
Went to Reed Schneider of the Whitney HS Bass Team, with a very nice 7.40 lbs Largemouth.
