Lake Belton was the site of our 2026 Winter Classic. 17 of the 21 teams that qualified for the Winter Classic hit the water looking for 5 keeper bites. It was a cold (25 degrees, at Launch time), Turning warm and windy by the afternoon. The lake was 0.56 feet low and a water temperature of 60 degrees. The cooler weather, clear skies and windy conditions provided a new challenge for these young anglers. Here are the 2026 Winter Classic winners.

1st Place.
Kessler Stokes and Chance Allen of the Team Texas Boat World with a total weight of 16.52lbs. The anglers were awarded 1st Place Medallions, a share of $1200.00 in Scholarship Money, Abu Garcia Max Z Reels and the coveted CTHSTT Winter Classic Traveling Trophy. Their Boat Captain also received a 1st Place Medallion.

2nd Place.
Kenji Urade and Fisher Tindell of the Bosqueville HS Fishing Team with a total weight of 12.97lbs. The anglers were awarded 2nd Place Medallions, a share of $800.00 in Scholarship Money, and Abu Garcia Max Z Reels. Their Boat Captain also received a 2nd Place Medallion.

3rd Place.
Carson Mowdy and Colton Stewart of the Double C Bass Runners with a total weight of 9.40lbs. The anglers were awarded 3rd Place Medallions, a share of $600.00 in Scholarship Money, and Abu Garcia Max Z Reels. Their Boat Captain also received a 3rd Place Medallion.

4th Place.
Colby McAnulty and Grayson Stoecklein of the Thorndale HS Fishing, with a total weight of 9.15lbs. The anglers were awarded 4th Place Medallions, a share of $400.00 in Scholarship Money and Berkley Lighting Rods. Their Boat Captain also received a 3rd Place

Big Bass Award.
Chance Allen of the Team Texas Boat World with a nice 5.76lbs Largemouth.
He was awarded an Abu Garcia Vengeance Rod.
